Infra-Low Training

What is Infra-Low Training Neurofeedback?

Infra-Low Frequency (ILF) Training Neurofeedback is an advanced brain training technique that focuses on training the brain’s lower frequency bands (below 0.5 Hz). It is believed these lower frequencies work with the brain's glial cells, which are essential for overall brain health. This training also targets deep brainwave activity associated with relaxation, emotional regulation, and  unconscious processes in the brain.

How Does Infra-Low Training Neurofeedback Work?

ILF training uses real-time monitoring of brain activity through EEG (electroencephalography) to provide feedback to the brain. The system detects the low-frequency signals and offers auditory or visual cues when the brain enters a desired state. Over time, the brain learns to self-regulate and strengthen these low-frequency patterns, leading to improved mental and emotional health.

How Does ILF Differ from other Types of Neurofeedback?

Trains Lower Frequency Waves

  • Targets the infra-low frequencies below 0.5 Hz, which are fundamental brainwaves that influence unconscious processes like sleep, relaxation, and deep emotional regulation.
  • It is believed these lower frequencies work with the brain's glial cells, essential for overall brain health
  • Fosters profound, unconscious neural regulation

Targets Deep Emotional States

  • Focuses more on the brain's underlying processes (unconscious regulation) than surface-level cognitive activity.
  • Particularly effective for trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and conditions that involve deep emotional disturbances (e.g., PTSD, chronic anxiety, or depression).
