Neurofeedback at Home Training Program

What is Divergence Neuro & Brainbit Flex?

Divergence Neuro is a neurofeedback software, and BrainBit Flex is a full cap with dry sensors; together, these create our user-friendly home use system. ANPNJ’s Home Use Neurofeedback system provides all the clinical functionality of an in-office system with an easy-to-use app for home training. While training at home can sometimes be challenging, this system removes many of the barriers we have encountered with other systems. We now can offer the same forms of neurofeedback training that we do in-office, such as amplitude training and 4 channel multivariate coherence training

What Does Home Training Look Like?

Brainbit Sensor Kit

Once you decide to move forward and begin our at home program, you will be sent the sensors and tools you need to get started.

The Cap

The Cap

The cap is adjustable and does not require gel. When getting started, you will have an intro session onsite at ANPNJ so that we can help set up your cap and show you how the training works.

To complete the training, you will use the Divergence Neuro app. We will set your protocols, and adjust them as needed. Training can be completed on your phone or tablet.

You're Not Alone

Although you are training at home, you are not going through this process alone. To begin our at-home program, you will first need to complete an intake assessment, just as any client would.

Following the intake, we will either develop a personalized protocol based on our assessment or recommend a brain map to determine the most suitable approach.

Once your training begins, a clinician will regularly review your progress and provide ongoing support. You will also have virtual check-ins with a clinician and/or technician as needed. For clients requiring additional support, we may recommend weekly therapy sessions with one of our clinicians to address individual needs.

As always at ANPNJ, this process and the amount of check-ins and assistance provided will be tailored to your unique needs.

Choosing Home-Use Training Vs. On-Site Training

Home-Use may be a good fit for you if:

  • You are a current or past client that has recently moved
  • You are able to structure your time, stick to schedules, and follow through on plans
  • You need or want multiple protocols and are looking for a more affordable option for long-term treatment
  • You are a parent or client who would like to start neurofeedback with us, but find the commute is too long
  • Your work or school hours make it difficult to attend sessions during our office hours

On-Site Training may be a Good Fit if:

  • You prefer or need a more hands-on, supported experience
  • You’d like to psychotherapy in conjunction with neurofeedback
  • You have a very sensitive nervous system
  • You have complex mental health needs
  • You need schedule sessions to hold you accountable
  • You struggle with technology
  • You have trouble sticking to plans and/or schedules
  • You live or work near the office
  • You have a flexible schedule or can make your schedule work with our availability

The neurofeedback is for your child, and:

  • Your child works more cooperatively outside of the home
  • Completing your child’s neurofeedback yourself seems too overwhelming
  • Your child’s needs are complex
  • Your child needs the structure and/or social support
