Rates & Insurance

Fees

Our fees depend on the level of clinician you are seeing, and the length of session. All sessions are prorated based on the clinician's rate. 45 minute sessions range from $160-280.

Payment

Clients are resposible for payment at the time of service. We require clients to upload a debit or credit card to their file that is automatically charged at the end of the day that the service has occurred. Our portal will then automatically send you a super bill for the month at the start of the next month.

Insurance

We are an out of network provider. This means that we do not submit to insurance, but we do provide super bills that you may submit to your insurance if you have out of network benefits.

In order for us to set realistic treatment goals and priorities, it is important to evaluate what resources you have available to pay for treatment. You should carefully read the section in your insurance coverage booklet or on your insurance company website that describes mental health services, and if you have questions about your coverage you should contact your insurance plan. Please feel free to contact us, and we would be happy to share our information packet, which provides the insurance codes that we utilize.

Questions to ask your insurance company include:

  • Do I have out of network benefits?
  • Do my plan cover the insurance codes provided?
  • What is my deductible and has any of it been met yet?
  • Do I have a co-pay or co-insurance?
  • What is my maximum out-of-pocket amount?
  • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?

Cancellation Policy

Once an appointment is scheduled this time has been reserved for you and you will be responsible for payment unless you provide forty-eight hours advance notice of cancellation. It is important to note that insurance companies do not provide reimbursement for cancelled sessions. We are aware that emergencies occur, and we will consider exceptions for emergencies and sickness. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a session.

Good Faith Estimate

At Attuned Neurofeedback & Psychotherapy of New Jersey, we believe in being transparent about the cost of care. We encourage all prospective clients to review our Transparent Pricing & Navigating Insurance Guide, which outlines our fees, payment policies, and important information about using out-of-network benefits.

If you are uninsured or choose not to use your insurance benefits, you also have the right under the No Surprises Act to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of the expected costs of your care.

  • What Is a Good Faith Estimate?  A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of the anticipated costs of the services we reasonably expect to provide based on the information available at the time it is prepared.Because psychotherapy and neurofeedback are individualized treatments, it is often not possible to predict the exact number of sessions, frequency of appointments, or overall length of treatment in advance. Your treatment plan may change over time as your needs, goals, and clinical progress evolve. As a result, your Good Faith Estimate reflects our best clinical estimate at the time it is created and may be updated if your treatment recommendations change.
  • Our Commitment to Transparency. We strive to discuss any anticipated changes to your treatment plan, scheduling, or associated costs before they occur whenever reasonably possible. If your expected costs change significantly, we will review those changes with you.Our current fees are available in our Transparent Pricing & Navigating Insurance Guide, and our team is always happy to answer questions about the financial aspects of treatment before services are provided.
  • Your Rights. If you receive a bill for a service or item that is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate for that specific service or item, and the additional charge was not discussed with you or reflected in an updated Good Faith Estimate beforehand, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process. For additional information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, please visit:https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
