Ella Opdenberg, B.A.
Neurofeedback Technician & Counseling Intern
Ella was introduced to neurofeedback at a young age, sparking a lasting interest in the brain's remarkable capacity for growth, regulation, and healing. Ella earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Vermont, and soon after joined ANPNJ, where she has worked alongside Dr. Clair Goldberg and Leanne Hershkowitz for more than three years. During that time, she has developed extensive hands-on experience supporting clients through neurofeedback while continually expanding her knowledge through clinical training, mentorship, and continuing education.
As a Neurofeedback Technician, Ella works with clients of all ages, helping them feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout the neurofeedback process. She values creating a safe, compassionate environment where clients can feel at ease while working toward their goals.
Ella is currently pursuing her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Kean University and is completing her clinical internship at ANPNJ under supervision. She is passionate about integrating psychotherapy with attuned neurofeedback and believes that meaningful healing occurs through supportive relationships, collaboration, and individualized care.
Ella is particularly passionate about understanding the lasting impacts of childhood trauma, working with autistic individuals and their families, and supporting fellow adoptees as they navigate identity, attachment, and life's unique challenges. She is committed to meeting each client with curiosity, empathy, and respect, creating a space where they feel truly seen, heard, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
Outside the Office: Ella loves animals, traveling, and playing the cello.
